FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS
Laura is a pattern designed for fabrics with some body. Fabrics such as denim, heavy linen, panama and canvas provide enough structure for a bag. Quilted fabrics are also suitable. For the lining, poplin, linen or canvas are recommended. If you’d like to work with quilting, it‘s recommended to use fusable batting or iron-on molton.
Extra tip: Bags are ideal for using up larger fabric remnants or old home textiles. Get creative and see how you can whip up a great statement piece using what you already have. This way, you’ll be kind to both your wallet and the environment.
